Congratulations on your engagement! We would love to have you in the bakery to talk more about your wedding cake needs, but let us introduce ourselves first.

We have been in Greensboro for nearly 25 years and love what we do! Each day we have cake available by the slice for your enjoyment, so drop by anytime to grab a slice of your favorite flavor. Our wedding cakes and cupcakes use the same fresh ingredients that are in our bakery cakes you see on display each day. Our cakes are made from scratch, and the recipes are truly Southern...baked from time-tested recipes that Greensboro has grown to love!

We are able to design a wedding cake to feed any size group......from 2 people all the way to several hundred. Regardless of the size of your guest list, we offer Bridal Consultations or Cake Tastings by appointment throughout the week, and even on weekends!

Our Bridal Consultation is a more in depth visit where you are able to come in and meet with Shannon Barbee, our Event Coordinator, for a one-on-one chat about your needs. The Bridal Consultation will answer all of your questions in one visit, and allow you to have a little fun with a tasting from any flavors that appeal to you from our menu. You will get an idea of the size of cake you are in need of, how the decoration will play out on the cake and have a price estimate of what you are planning. There is a $90 fee for the Bridal Consultation which will be applied to your wedding deposit when you are ready to reserve your date with us. If you are just getting started with your planning and simply want to get familiar with Maxie B's, a Cake Tasting may be more appropriate for your needs. The Cake Tasting is a more informal visit which allows you to browse our photo galleries, gather general information and taste some of our popular cake flavors which are baked daily. Shannon Barbee is not with you at this visit, but you will be able to fill out an information sheet with your event details so that she can follow up with you on your specific cake needs. We offer Cake Tastings in our dessert cafe on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday each week, with later times available on Tuesday evenings. There is a $40 fee for this visit which can also be applied towards your wedding cake deposit with us. The bakery is open daily from 9a to 10:00p Monday through Thursday, 9a to 11p on Friday & Saturday...and from 11a to 10:00p on Sundays. We look forward to seeing you soon!
